Korean-French Workshop on Cryogenic Hydrogen for Aviation

From October 13 to 14, the Korean-French Workshop on Cryogenic Hydrogen for Aviation was held at ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse, France.

The workshop brought together leading Korean and French researchers in the aviation and hydrogen sectors to share the latest achievements in liquid hydrogen (LH₂) technology and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

Representatives from ISAE-SUPAERO, University of Seoul, Seoul National University, KIST, Hylium Industries, Absolut Hydrogen, Airbus ZeroE, H3Dynamics, and ARESIA attended the event, fostering active exchange between academia, research institutes, and industry.

The first day featured a tour of ISAE-SUPAERO’s hydrogen research facilities and technical presentations on hydrogen liquefaction, LH₂ tank modeling and testing, and hydrogen-powered drone technologies.

On the second day, discussions focused on hydrogen fuel cells and operational mobility, highlighting practical approaches to hydrogen-powered aviation systems.

Hylium Industries shared its expertise in liquid hydrogen storage and operation for aviation applications, building strong partnerships toward realizing a sustainable, hydrogen-based aviation era.
